About Hola!
A World of Tapas, Made to Share
Hola! sits at the entrance of Southtown and the King William district, a few short blocks from the River Walk, with a patio that looks straight out at the Tower of the Americas and the newly renovated Hemisfair.
The menu is a worldwide selection of small plates — tapas, pintxos and paella — meant to be passed around the table rather than kept to one seat. It changes with what is fresh, and the kitchen only cooks with ingredients worth the trip.
Pair it with sangria, a local craft beer or a bottle from a wine list that travels as far as the food does. Hola! comes from the owners of Azuca Nuevo Latino, so expect the same lively room and a happy hour worth planning around.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An amazing taste of Spain in San Antonio! 🇪🇸❤️
What a wonderful experience at Hola Spanish Restaurant in San Antonio! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, cared for, and completely at home. A huge thank-you to Marcos, who made our visit truly special with his outstanding hospitality, kindness, and attention to every little detail.
Marcos took the time to walk us through the entire menu, explaining the dishes, the daily specials, the house specialties, the drinks, and everything we needed to know to make the best choices. He did it all with such warmth, patience, and enthusiasm that we immediately felt we were in great hands. This is the kind of personal service that makes a restaurant stand out and turns a simple meal into a memorable experience.
And the food? Absolutely outstanding! We enjoyed a fantastic variety of authentic Spanish-style tapas, full of flavor, beautifully presented, and prepared with an excellent touch of seasoning. Every dish brought back that wonderful feeling of sharing good food in Spain, where eating is not just about satisfying your appetite but about enjoying flavors, conversation, and good company.
One of our personal highlights was the lamb, which was exceptional both in its presentation and in its preparation. The lamb stew was delicious, and the lamb chops were equally impressive. The flavors were rich, the meat was beautifully prepared, and you could really appreciate the care that went into each dish. And don’t skip dessert! We highly recommend saving some room because the desserts are absolutely worth it.
We also appreciated how convenient it was to find parking right next to the restaurant, which made the whole experience even easier and more enjoyable.
But beyond the food, what really makes Hola special is the combination of excellent cuisine, genuine hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes you feel welcome from the very beginning. Marcos and the entire team deserve a huge thank-you for making us feel so comfortable and for giving us such a fantastic experience.
We actually ended up threatening the staff with one thing before leaving: WE’RE COMING BACK! 😂🇪🇸 And we absolutely mean it!
If you’re looking for delicious Spanish tapas, authentic flavors, excellent lamb, wonderful desserts, and hospitality that comes straight from the heart, Hola Spanish Restaurant is definitely a place you need to visit in San Antonio.
Marcos, thank you so much for taking such great care of us. We left with full stomachs, happy hearts, and a big smile on our faces. Keep up the fantastic work, and save us a table because we’ll be back for more!

Hidden gem!!!!
Walked in on a Friday evening! Close by at a hotel? Walking around Hemisfair and looking for something fresh and delicious to eat? Come here.
We were at plaza and decided to get some food: found this place and was very intrigued. The server helping us was wonderful and all of the dishes we were served were full of flavor and fresh. We tried about 6 dishes and it was very moderately priced.
We have passed by this location several times and glad we finally came in, definitely recommend to everyone!
